Tutor's Personal Statement: I would be an excellent tutoring choice for German and/or French because I am not only fluent in both but also have a special passion for foreign language acquisition. With relations today becoming more and more international, I believe knowing a second or third language is an invaluable asset. In addition to my teaching experience, I have studied abroad considerably including one year in Paris, France, one year in Vienna, Austria, and two summers in Germany (Berlin and Munich). In Vienna I constantly spoke in German such that my roommate was Austrian and shy to speak English. In both Paris and Vienna I gave private English lessons to children aged 10-12. Having gone to a French Immersion School from kindergarten, I would add that I have virtually no accent in French. I have been told similarly for German as well. I have some experience interpreting from French-English/English-French (conference and hospital) and translating for both languages.
