Tutor's Personal Statement: I would make a good tutoring choice because of my vast experience with students, teachers, and families. I understand the necessity of challenging students and, more importantly, helping students to develop positive academic self-esteem through success. I have tutored many students in the past, and I take great care to *teach* students skills and not just to get work completed.

Experience with Special Needs Situations: I have experience teaching students with special needs, as well as supervising others responsible for teaching students with special needs. I have had the honor of being able to work with students who are learning disabled, physically disabled, behaviorally/emotionally challenged, and those with mental retardation. I have family members with disabilities. Also, I have experience working with families and schools to ensure appropriate planning for students. I enjoy working with all children and being amazed by their learning.
